  Nathaniel Sherwood

  DO

  Dr. Nathaniel Sherwood knew in high school that he wanted to pursue a career as a physician. “I saw it as the best way to combine my love of science and desire to help others,” he explains. His favorite part of his profession is knowing he can help people every day. “I enjoy being able to help such a deserving population,” he says of his senior patients. He emphasizes preventative care to help them “live happier, healthier, and longer lives.” He always takes the time to get to know his patients. “Once I know my patient, I can develop plans to help them achieve and maintain better health,” he says. Outside of work, Dr. Sherwood loves spending time with his family and cooking barbeque. He is a proud Navy Veteran.

  Afshan Khan

  DO

  Having dealt with health concerns at an early age, Dr. Afshan Khan understands the complexities of the healthcare system. “I want to be part of a system that challenges the status quo,” she says. She enjoys learning about patients’ goals concerning their care as well as “what brings them joy and happiness.” She explains, “I am here to listen and guide. The patient is ultimately responsible for their decisions, so I want to make sure they have the correct information to make the best decision possible.” In her free time, Dr. Khan enjoys playing tennis and hiking. She loves taking her daughter to the park and spending time with family. While her ethnicity is Indian, she has lived in three difference countries and enjoys learning about different cultures and backgrounds.

  Chris Popp

  MD

  As a physician, Dr. Chris Popp loves the endless opportunities to learn while also helping and educating others. He says his favorite part of working in healthcare is “watching people change behaviors to become healthier people because when they are healthier, they can live a fuller life.” In his practice, Dr. Popp places a lot of emphasis on mental health and strives for individualized treatment “by giving them the time, information, and guidance they need.” He proudly adds, “I approach practice as a collaborative effort.” In his free time, Dr. Popp enjoys reading, off-road bicycling, and viewing art. He has three children, all of whom are working as or pursuing a field in healthcare or science.

  Charanpreet Khangura

  DO

  Dr. Charanpreet Khangura, who was diagnosed with leukemia at only eight years old, was inspired by the physicians who cared for her. “In medical school and residency, I found that I enjoyed making connections with patients, and together, helping improve their health and lives,” she explains. She is passionate about preventative care and loves collaborating with patients. “I build relationships and bonds with patients by taking the time to listen to what is important to them, getting to know them on a personal level, and building trust,” she says. During appointments, she wants patients to feel heard and unrushed. Dr. Khangura loves spending time with her family and traveling in her free time. She also likes baking and cooking.

  Adbah Mohamed

  DO

  Dr. Adbah Mohamed’s passion for medicine is “driven by the desire to improve others’ lives” just as physicians did for her father. “Meeting new people and learning about their life” is her favorite part of her profession. She strives to keep patients “well-informed about their medical conditions.” She explains, “My commitment is to be a reliable support system for my patients, ensuring they understand their situation and feel empowered to make informed decisions about their health and well-being.” She is committed to lessening the challenges her senior patients face. Dr. Mohamed loves spending her free time with family and friends. She also enjoys scrapbooking and building hot wheel cities with her sons.
